
When Zombie Army 4 comes to Xbox Game Pass on April 8, Series S owners will be able to play in 1080p at 60FPS with reduced load times. The PS5 upgrades include 4K resolution at sixty frames per second (60FPS), reduced load times, and DRS enabled. PlayStation Plus subscribers can download the game now for free, along with the new-gen upgrades for PS5. The upgrades coincide with the inclusion of Zombie Army 4 in subscription services PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass this month, respectively. The campaigns in the Zombie Army games center around stopping Hitler from unleashing an army of undead Nazis on the world. Whereas the Sniper Elite games focus on third-person tactical gameplay, however, Zombie Army 4 is a zombie-themed arcade shooter that encourages players to chain multipliers and achieve high scores against waves of Nazi zombies. All the mechanics of Sniper Elite are present, including the famous X-Ray Kill Cam.

Though developer Rebellion is more widely known for its hit Sniper Elite series, the Zombie Army series is a spin-off that takes place during the same era (World War II) and runs on the same engines.

Zombie Army 4 was released in February 2020 and is the sequel to 2015's Zombie Army Trilogy.


That means the hordes of undead Nazis can now be obliterated at faster framerates and sharper resolutions. Rebellion has announced that players of Zombie Army 4: Dead War will be getting free new-generation upgrades for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S systems.
